Who wants to recline when you can sit up?

My Turn!

Hi fans! This blog has been pretty Aidan heavy lately (the computer hog...) so it's my turn to tell you all the neat things I've been up to!

I am so good at sitting! Here's my just two weeks ago doing the gorilla sit:

And now check out my great posture!

I love being able to sit up and watch everything that's going on. I especially love to watch out the window and see what's going on outside.

My favorite thing to do is take a tubby! I've figured out how to splash and it is so much fun!

As you can see, I'm also really great at growing hair! It just keeps coming in!

We don't have any pictures to prove it, but I am quite the eater. I love trying all kinds of new foods, although some of them have been giving me a funny rash. We're all just hoping I grow out of it! Today I ate a jar of peas and half a jar of pears along with some baby oatmeal. It was so good!

I love to play, too. We have a toy box that has shapes that go in it and I love to sit and take the blocks in and out. Everyone says that must mean I'm really bright. I say, "Duh!".

I should get back to my nap. We had to get flu shots on Monday and they have made me extra sleepy!

Look Out World!

I hate to brag, but I think I will. I've been up to some really cool things lately!

I've started holding my bottle all by myself. Sometimes I'll even hold it with just one hand to show off.

I'm also getting really good at using a sippy cup. It's fun to drink out of, and I love dropping in on the floor and making Brittany play fetch!

So maybe this isn't me doing anything, but it sure is cute! I decided to get some of my baby puke in my hair yesterday, so Brittany did a quick wash just to get the junk out. When she was done, my hair stood straight up! I think it makes me look older and really cool.

And, finally, the best for last: I got myself up on my knees the other day! I'm not quite sure how to get to the next step yet, but it's coming. Before you know it, I'll be tearing this place up and getting into everything!
Aren't I great?! You all sure are lucky to know such an amazing little baby. What? You want to know about my brother, too? I guess he can do some neat stuff. I'll tell him to do some bragging next time.

Tubby Time!

We got to have tubby time sitting up today! It was so much fun!
Surprise! Looks like we caught him off guard!
That's better!
Aidan loved being able to play with toys and check out his feet.

I got to sit up in the tub, too, but I was splashing too much to get any pictures taken. It was so much fun to splash and get everything all wet! It was a fun new way to enjoy our tubby!

Sorry we were absent from posting yesterday. We had such a busy day that we just didn't get time. The day was so great because we got to see Nana and Papa - Twice! Nana snuggled us and gave us lots and lots of kisses, and Papa listened while we told him lots of big stories. We got up today hoping to be snuggled on and loved on by them again, but we've just been stuck with Brittany. I probably don't have to tell you how I feel about that, but I will anyway:

We hear a rumor that Nana and Papa are coming back next week, so we hope that time flies by. We can't wait to see them again!

Baby Jail or Baby Freedom?

Today we got to spend time in the pack-and-play and do something other than nap! We got some uninterrputed play time and it was great! Who needs to share when you can just play on your own away from your brother?

Well, I better get back to fussing. I've been doing it all day and I think I'm finally starting to wear Brittany down! :)

New Toys!

Mom and Dad went shopping last night and got us lots of new toys! We are having so much fun playing with them today. If you ask us, we have the best toys in the city, and if you were to study toys per square foot, we'd take the cake there, too.
Here I am in our new bouncy toy.
We also got new toys to play with while we're sitting. I think they're fun, but Aidan seems to have found a more relaxing way to play with them:
He didn't feel like sitting, I guess.

More to come soon!

Sharing and Sitting

See that dragonfly? It is a coveted toy around here. During tummy time today, Brittany put us facing each other with toys in the middle. It didn't take long before we both got a hold of the dragonfly and decided that we wanted to chew on it. Brittany said it would be good for us to learn this thing called "sharing". She tried to explain it, but all we heard her say is that if we learn it now we'll be way ahead of the curve in preschool, when everyone else learns about sharing. We've decided that if everyone else can wait to learn how to share, then we can too! We're already way ahead of our peers (do you know any other seven month olds with a blog? I didn't think so.) so we can take it easy on learning this sharing thing. Plus, this way we can build up more muscle strength by fighting over stuff, and everyone knows even preschool chicks like muscles.

In other fun news, I am doing really well at sitting! Must be the new tooth I sprouted (yep, I now have two!) that's balanced me out and helped me sit better. I'm really good until someone leaves my side. See, I like the one on one attention I get when people are helping me sit, so as soon as they leave I knock myself over so they have to come back. Pretty clever, huh!
Check out my curls! I'm bringing back the flipped out curls, so when you see them on the runway next season, you'll know where they came from.
The most exciting news is that mom comes home tomorrow! Even better, where she is it already is tomorrow,  so she'll be home really soon! We've missed her SO much and can't wait to drool kiss all over her! Travel safe, mom! We'll be waiting here to see you!

Let's hope this internet thing doesn't stick around...

... because if it does these pictures are coming back to haunt us when we bring girls home.

We got to have some naked time today! Patrick thought my feet were pretty cool and kept trying to stick them in his mouth.

He also did a check and in case you were wondering, everything is all there!
I was just having fun rolling around our room and seeing what I could get into.
I was trying to hide so I could explore more, but they found me!
We love our nakey nakey time!!
Oh, and because he didn't want to be left out, Patrick sprouted his first tooth yesterday! We sure are getting big!

Drum Roll Please...

Aidan has not one, but TWO teeth! His first one popped in after nap yesterday and he woke up with a second one this morning. He is one cranky boy! Brittany tried to take a picture of his new chompers, but Aidan would not have it. Maybe in a few days he'll feel like showing off his new mouth!

I haven't been feeling very good either. Everyone says I must be close to my first tooth, too. We've been spending today in some sleepers and snuggling and reading lots of stories. It's about the only thing that makes our mouths feel better!
Love (especially to our momma!)

Baby Models

Hi everyone! Sorry for our long hiatus, but we had a crazy weekend! We got home after completing operation birth control and left again to go spend time at Aunt Lisa's cabin. We had a great time and got snuggled a whole lot!

Over our long weekend, mom picked up a bunch of new clothes for us, so we decided to model some of them for you. Here's Patrick giving his best "turn and smile" look to the camera. He was really working it!

I decided to go for a more serious "GQ" look.
Here you can get a better look at our outfits. Patrick was showing more of his cute faces, but I am showing my range with a combination mad and upset face.
Mom and dad, maybe you better get another phone line. Something tells me the agents will be lining up before long.

Operation Birth Control: Day Two

Aidan and I were talking this afternoon and we think they must be doing something different with our food here, because it is even better than usual! We were both couldn't get enough of our carrots and pears today!
See? Even Aidan was happy about eating!

Maybe the reason it was so good was the new chef. He was fun!

Willow came downstairs and played with us, so we showed her how tummy time works. She's a quick learner!

We also got to take Willow on a long walk this evening. I had a blast, but Aidan wasn't feeling in the mood for pictures.

We're sleeping really great here. I think mom and dad will be bummed, but we figured we needed to let Brittany get more beauty sleep. Mom doesn't need anymore beauty, so we'll probably go back to getting up early at home so we can see her more.
I know we said we were going to give them heck today, but we just couldn't help being the little angels we are. Being perfect is so hard sometimes...
I'm off to get another great night's sleep!

Day One of Operation Birth Control

Hi all! Mom and Dad left this morning for some kind of trip with just the two of them (what's up with that?!) and we are staying with our nanny, Brittany and her husband Dan. Mom and Dad gave us a long talk last night about how we need to deploy operation birth control so that Brittany and Dan don't want babies for a long time, and we agreed. We don't want her loving on any other babies!! We've been really good so far, but we're just laying to frame work to let her have it tomorrow. This should be fun!

When we got to her house, we were greeted by this little furry thing they call Willow. She must be Brittany's because she is full of kisses, too! She also has these great ears to tug on.

They have a great back yard that we got to hang out in this afternoon. Here we are on this thing that is like a swing and a bed put together - it was awesome! Some neighbors even came by to say how adorable we are. Duh!

All in all it's been a good and busy day. Patrick even got so tired that he fell asleep while eating his bottle.

Before we went to bed, Brittany told us that mom and dad were having lots of fun and that they even sent a picture of them smiling and having a good time. I don't know who told them they could do that without us, but we'll definitely have to talk to them when they get home!
More tomorrow on our adventures!
Love, Aidan
