OBC and a Field Trip

A quick note on the completion of Operation Birth Control, since we didn't get a chance to get back to the computer: We did it again! We got really sick and ended up spending 4 (yes, 4!) hours at Urgent Care on Sunday afternoon. We both have "massive" ear infections and are grumpy! We spent the rest of Operation Birth Control whining and crying and not sleeping, so it's pretty safe to say we succeeded once again! We never let you down, Mom and Dad!

Now for our fun field trip - today we went to the Fire Station! It was hard to sit still and listen to them talk about fire safety, but it was really really fun to see the trucks!! We had a great time and learned a lot!

Brittany tried to take a picture with us in front of the firemen's gear, but there were so many cool things to look at over here!

Oh! And over here!

Then we got to climb up into the firetruck and look around. Here's Patrick sitting in the big seat:

And Aidan, too! (I wasn't scared, just annoyed that Brittany kept trying to make me look at her)

We got one last picture on the front of the #1 Engine and then it was time to go!

We had so much fun at the Fire Station!!

Operation Birth Control strikes again!

Yesterday morning Mom and Dad left on a big airplane, so that means it's nice for another Operation Birth Control mission! If you've missed out on any of our entries on previous Operation Birth Controls, (which you can go back and read by clicking on the "Operation Birth Control" link below) it's where we put our not-as-nice feet forward so that Brittany and her husband, Dan, don't start to enjoy having kids around 24/7 and want one of their own. Can you imagine how disappointed they'd be when they baby came out not even half as cute as we are?! It's a tragedy we're doing our best to avoid.

We started off easy and had a great day yesterday. Today we pulled out our favorite trick for her and Patrick started running a fever. He's got a really snotty nose and isn't sleeping well because he's coughing and all stuffed up, which in turn keeps Aidan up and grumpy as well. It's the perfect combo for Operation Birth Control!

We got out for a walk this afternoon because it was so beautiful outside. We loved being toted around in our wagon!

We can't wait for the snow to melt so we can go to the park!

Don't worry too much about Brittany. We made sure to lay the night time snuggles and cuteness really thick. We know just the way to her heart!

We'll be back tomorrow with more fun Operation Birth Control fun!

Happy Valentines Day!

Dear Nana, Papa, Grandpa and Grandma Terry,

We know we can't send mail to the warm places you're at right now, so we just wanted to say:
We colored it all by ourselves! Brittany tried to get some pictures of us with our sign for you,  but not all of us were feeling up to it...

...So you'll just have to settle for some cute picture of the family ham who is always happy to pose for pictures!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Love, Aidan and Patrick

You'd better behave!

Howdy partners! There's a new set of sheriffs running this town, so you'd best better behave yourselves so you don't get into any trouble now, you hear? We're running a tight ship in this here town and don't want any trouble from any of you locals.

Running this joint will be the honorable Fire Chief Patrick,
and Sheriff Aidan. (He tips his hat to you)
Y'all behave yourselves and we'll get along just fine. You do that and we'll all be happy as pigs in mud!
See ya around town folks. Y'all come back now, ya hear!

Hijacking Again

I snuck into the boyz password book again this year and found a way to post here on their site. Last year I asked for anyone who felt so compelled to leave the boyz a message here for them to be able to read once they are older and I'd like to do the same again this year. Right below this post it will say "posted by Brittany at X:XX PM 0 Comments" If you click on "0 Comments" (Or it may say 2 or 3 or however many comments there are) it will take you to a new screen. In the box, you can type a comment for the boyz. Where it says "Comment As" choose "anonymous". Then when you are all done, click "post comment" and it will be sent off and will always appear underneath this entry. I know someday when the boyz are older they will love reading all of our thoughts and well wishes for them from their 2nd birthday!

I hope that all makes sense. I'll look forward to reading your comments to the boyz!

TWO!

Today was are the big two years old!!

We've had a very fun day so far. We had a Valentines Day party this morning at school with all of our friends, and we've been getting to eat all of our favorite things. After school, Nana and Papa called and we got to talk to them. They even sang us happy birthday! While we were taking a tubby, Grandpa called, too! We're having a great day and can't wait for Mom and Dad to get home so we can celebrate more with them, too.

This weekend we got to have a party with some of our family and friends. We got some really great presents and had a really fun time playing with our cousins!

Opening presents:
Lots of great new clothes!
Playing with our cool new bowling set and wearing our new superhero capes!

Mom made us a yummy lasagna dinner!
Then it was time for cake! Britty made us an extra special train cake!
(It's hard to see, but there is a monkey driving the "A.R. Express" (Aidan's initials) and a Lion driving the "P.L. Flyer" (Patrick's initials))

She tried to get a picture with us, but really all we cared about was trying to get our fingers in the cake!
It was really good and we dug right in!

Thanks to everyone for making our second year so special! We have a lot up our sleeves for this next year as two year olds! :)

Love, Two year old Aidan and Two year old Patrick

Mid Winter Melt Down

It is COLD here today, so we're breaking out the shades and dreaming of summer!

Hopefully good ole Phil is right and we only have 6 weeks until we can hit the park!

Twins?

Some days it can be hard to tell that we're twins. We have different colored eyes, we have different personalities and now that we're talking, both our languages sound much different! Here's a sampling of just how different Patrick speak and Aidan speak are.

Aidan speak is pretty much just blowing through whatever words you'd like me to say. I'll repeat just about anything you say around me, so watch out!

Patrick speak is very specific. I like to sound out every last syllable!
Happy Tuesday!
