I'm sure you are all already prepared for next months momentous occasion. You know what that is, right? RIGHT?! It's our first birthday of course! Believe it or not, we're already getting presents, and big ones at that! Mom and Dad got us the best present ever: A New House! We moved in this weekend and are loving it so far. Turns our that Santa guy brought us more presents than we remembered and now we have them all set up in our very own play room. Very cool! Now you all know what you have to live up to. :)
In other big news, we took our first tubby together AND our first tubby in the big boy bath! We had lots of fun playing together and hope this is here to stay! (Video coming - the blog is being really slow and we need some sleep!)
We also heard that some of you want to leave us notes but aren't quite sure how. At the bottom of each post we do, there is a little button that says "Comment". If you click on that it will bring you to a screen where you can type a little note to us! It's probably easiest if you post as "Anonymous" and then leave your name at the bottom of your note so you don't have to sign up for any crazy accounts. Hope that helps!
We've been working on it for a few months now, but we are now baby food free! We haven't had that mushy stuff in a few weeks and we are loving life on all big kid food. There are some things we really aren't too sure about yet, but for the most part we enjoy the spread put out for us. We both love banana, cheese, peas, Cheerios and pears. Our favorite has been Mom's pork and potatoes that she made - YUM! Aidan also loves squash, sweet potato and just about anything else you put in front of him. Mom and Dad call him a garbage disposal! Patrick is pickier, but we discovered today that he really likes tomatoes! Over all we are really great eaters!
Brittany was telling us today that now that we are great eaters we get to start having more meals rather than just one or two foods at a time. For lunch this afternoon she made us a pasta salad and it was great! It has noodles (with a little bit of butter on them of course), tomatoes and peas. We could definitely get used to this meal thing!
You have to check food out before you eat it, to make sure it's safe!
We are finally getting settled into our new house and are loving having all this space to play in! I had a first both in life and in the new house yesterday - I got a bit of a black eye. I don't know how I managed to fall into the one corner of the area we were playing in, but I did and have a nice mark above my eye to show for it. It's kind of hard to see, but if you look above my right eye, you'll see it's all swollen and red.
In other more fun news, we are wearing our first pair of big kid khaki jeans today. Boy are we cute!
I'm teething and I hurt my eye yesterday. No smiles until later.
Patrick, however, is all smiles lately! Doesn't he look just like mom?!
Okay, I'll smile. But only if you spin me on the new chairs again!
My newest trick is that I can sort through all my food and pick out what I don't want. If someone tries to put it in my mouth, I promptly get rid of it. I have been putting up quite the fight! Unfortunately, so has everyone else and I'm not as successful as I'd like to be. I'll keep working on them in hopes of completing my master plan of eating only bananas and cheese! In the mean time, here I am in action:
We have had a crazy few weeks! We had a great Christmas and really enjoyed all the extra time with mom and dad. We made quite the haul on presents, too, and are having so much fun playing with all our new things! The only down side to our last few weeks is that we've been fighting an icky cold - not fun! We are finally starting to feel better, though, so we'll be back to our old tricks in no time.
We have both figured out how to stand up on things and it is so much fun! We can get into a whole new world of things! Here I am helping Patrick take a bath!
Oh, we almost forgot - we have big news! So as to not give it away too easily, we decided to put our Christmas blocks and creative skills together to give you an idea of what it might be:
Here's me mid-build
Patrick pointing to our creation!
Well, any guesses?
That's right - WE HAVE A NEW HOUSE!
We are really really excited! Rumor has it that we have a playroom that's separate from everything else. How great is that?! Now mom and dad won't bug us when were trying to play. Anyways, we hear we're moving in the next week, so stay tuned for more info about our cool new pad!
I'm Patrick and I'm growing so fast! I love to talk, but sometimes have a hard time getting words in with Aidan around. I love to read books and play with blocks and other things I can take apart and put back together. I am a super great helper and love to help unload the dishwasher and do laundry. I'm a really easy going kid and love to be along for the ride where every we're going. I can't wait for summer to spend all my waking time playing at the park!
All about Aidan
I'm Aidan and I am loving being two! I talk all day long and love to tell you stories about everything. I am really into sports, especially basketball and baseball and I'm pretty good at them if I do say so myself! I still love babies and reading books, and have recently been introduced to the wonders of (limited) TV! The "Puppy Show" (Word World) is my favorite! I'm usually a pretty easy going kid and can't wait to be on the run all summer!
