Blog hijacking

I'm breaking the rules and hi-jacking the blog for just a moment. I have a favor to ask: When my journey with the boys is done someday, I'm going to have this blog made into a book for them. (T and L - just pretend you didn't read that so you'll be surprised when you get it :) )That being said, I thought it might be cool to ask you out there who read their blog to leave them a note wishing them well as they embark on their second year of life. Then someday they can look back at the book and read all of our wishes for them. Those of you that know me know that I can never pass up the chance to be sappy with those I love! :)
Anyway, if you feel so inclined, click on the "comment" link just below this post and leave the boys a note. I imagine someday they'll love looking back and having a snapshot of their first birthday!

Thanks!
Brittany (aka: the nanny)

It's fun to be one!

Let us first start out by saying, "HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TO US!" We've had an awesome day so far. Being one has been great!

Brittany has been preparing all our favorite foods for us today. For breakfast we had Cheerios and yogurt, for morning snack she made us banana bread muffins, for lunch we had blueberry pancakes, and we've heard a rumor about chocolate pudding for our afternoon snack! Yummy!

Our favorite has been the blueberry pancakes. Not only did they taste good, but they were fun to make a mess with!

This birthday thing is great! We are very lucky boys!

The food's not bad...

...but the service is awful!!

Look what we had to do just to get snack!

Thankfully we finally got some food - peaches! Maybe we'll double team her more often so we get this good stuff!

Magic

And now, a magic trick by Aidan

I have in front of me a pink block. I will now take this pink block and put it on my head, making it change its shape and color twice.
See my ordinary pink block? Nothing fishy about it at all.

Halfway there! Notice it is now a yellow block.

Tada! It is now a big orange block that rests on my head!

And before you ask, no. I cannot reveal how I did my super special trick. It's a secret.

Love,
Aidan the Amazing

Second Date

I don't kiss and tell, but I think you can get a good idea of how my second date with Macaroni and Cheese went by this picture :)

I think I love you

Dear Macaroni and Cheese,

Where have you been all my life? Our meeting over lunch has convinced me that love a first bite really does exist. Can I see you again? How about tomorrow - same time, same place? I need you in my life now Macaroni and Cheese. Please don't ever leave me.

I had some pictures taken so that I'll always remember the day we fell in love.

I'm not trying to be suggestive. I just had some sauce stuck on my finger.

I had to lick you off of my cup to make sure I got every last bit!

You make me so happy! And messy.

All my love,
Patrick
